50th Day of School

This week we celebrated our 50th day of school.  We had fun doing all sorts of math activities, such as graphing, sorting, and counting using fruit loops!

Star of the Week - Amanda

This week we had fun learning more about our friend Amanda! Well done, Amanda.

Pinecone Feeders

We had enough pinecones from our first project for each of us to make another to hang in our courtyard.  We can see this tree from our classroom window and we look forward to watching the birds come to eat.

It's hard to believe that this was November, 20th! The weather was beautiful.

Pinecone bird feeders

Last month I asked the students to collect a large pinecone for their monthly homework challenges.  This past week we turned them into winter bird feeders.  My daughter, Alexis, was home from University for the week so she came to help us.

Diwali and Rangoli art

Last week we learned about Diwali and then we made our own version of Rangoli.

Literacy Games

We have learned many new literacy games to play.  While I work with small groups of students the rest of the class works with a partner to practice literacy skills.
