We celebrated Valentine's Day today because we won't be at school on the 14th.
This morning we did all sorts of math: sorting, counting, graphing, adding, measuring and dividing with "conversation heart" candies.
This afternoon we read the story "Enemy Pie" and then discussed the qualities of friendship. Students then wrote recipes (poems) for Friendship.
To end the day we made Friendship fruit salad. Each contributed fruit to the salad, each fruit represented a friendship quality. Lastly, exchanged Valentine cards.

St.John's Ambulance Presentation
Today, Stacey, from St.John's Ambulance came to teach us about First Aid and what to do in an emergency.
We completed the "glove" challenge. Kids had to get the two gloves off without getting any shaving cream (pretending it was blood or other body fluid) on their hands or clothes. Fun! And Challenging!
