Flat Stanley - Mackenzie BC

 Eryk's Flat Stanley arrived back from Mackenzie, BC.

Here's an excerpt from his letter.

While Flat Eryk was here we visited the Mackenzie and District Hospital & Health Center. At the hospital, we went to see the lab and the x-ray department. While there Flat Eryk got some lab tests done and got to X-ray a patient as well as get X-rays of himself. Flat Eryk got to see the mountains that surround the town, as well as the town’s attraction of having the World’s largest Tree Crusher!

Flat Stanley - Tokyo

 Wow, what a day to open the mail.  Flat Stanley arrived back from Tokyo, Japan.

Some interesting facts that we learned included: 

-Tallest tower in the world, Tokyo Sky Tree

-Mt. Fuji

-School lunches “kyushoku"

-School uniforms for junior and high school students.

Flat Stanley - Egmont, BC

 Flat Stanley arrived from Egmont, BC.  How exciting! It was fun to learn about this community.

Some interesting facts that we learned included: the Ferry, it is located close to the ocean and mountains and we saw big ocean fish!

 How exciting to receive a Flat Stanley all the way back from Parkland, Florida.

We learned about Alligators, that it never snows in Florida and that people can wear shorts all year long.

Flat Stanley is a world traveler!  In the last few weeks of December we heard about his travels to Red Deer, England, Florida, and Nova Scotia!  So exciting and very interesting!

Another Stanley arrived

This week we had another Flat Stanley arrive.  Chris's Stanley came back from Campbell River, BC and he brought a very interesting package with him including several pictures, maps, tourist guide, beach shells and sea glass.  Very cool!  Well done, Chris!  Your family prepared an excellent presentation for us, thank you!
