Perimeter Robots

We had fun demonstrating our understanding of perimeter by making perimeter robots!  Here are three cool examples!

Medicine River Wildlife Center & Otis The Owl

On Thursday we had a special guest, Erin Young, from the Medicine River Wildlife Center come and teach us all about her work and how they help animals at the Center.  The highlight was meeting Otis the Owl!

School Spirit Day

On Thursday we had a double school spirit day!  St. Patrick's Day and World Down Syndrome Day. We wore green and we wore crazy socks!

Roger Dallaire Residency

This week we learned some Canadian history and culture from Roger Dallaire.

He taught our class how to play the spoons!  How awesome!

James and The Giant Peach

On Tuesday we celebrated the completion of our Novel Study: James and The Giant Peach by making peach crisp and watching the movie!  Math and Language combined.  And it was Delicious!

Winter Carnival

Here are a few pictures from our very own Mountview Carnaval! Inspired by Quebec's Winter Carnaval.  We braved the cold for an afternoon of fun.

100th Day

We celebrated the 100th day of grade 3 with all sorts of activities to do with the number 100.
We took all of the reading bubblegums down off of the giant bubblegum machine, and counted and graphed them.  (We actually had 102! Way to go!).
Some students and Mrs. Roberts dressed up for the theme.  What a fun day.
