Community Walk

It's a tradition at Mountview to deliver homemade "friendship" cards to our school neighbours.  On Friday we went out delivering the cards that we made.

It's so exciting to hear back from our neighbours about how much they enjoy and appreciate the cards.

Easter in Ukraine

This week we discussed Easter in Ukraine as part of our social studies curriculum.  We learned about the beautiful Pysanky style of Easter eggs.

We made our own grade 3 version "Pysanky-ISH".   Watch for these beautiful eggs coming home for Easter.

Here are a few examples.

Birthday celebration

On Friday we celebrated Mrs. Jasmin's birthday!

We had several guests visit us from Central Alberta Refugee Effort (C.A.R.E) to teach us about their home country.

Kezia saved up $100 Squire Bucks to bring her pet snake for show and tell!  Great work, Kezia.  It was interesting to learn all about your pet.

April Fools Day

I tricked them!!
Today I told the kids we were having a surprise spelling test.  Check out the words!  They didn't catch on until the very end.
