We had a lot of fun in science last week being "engineers" and building and testing cube designs for strength and stability. We tested the strength of three different "joiners". (marshmallows, puffed cereal and plasticine).

Alberta Science Network & Building
We were lucky to have the Alberta Science Network back again. This time Ms. Natallia talked to us about her career as an Engineer and all about building and testing materials. She had an awesome hands-on activity for us too. Each group built a crane out of popsicle sticks as well as a few other supplies, and at the end, we tested the cranes for strength and stability.
