What a fun day!
We did Valentine Candy math where we counted, sorted, graphed and measured with candy hearts. We did a colour-by-sum Valentine's math sheet. We wrote Friendship Recipes. We loved the friendship fruit salad. And the favourite part of our day was exchanging cards.
Thank you, parents, for all of the fruit and supplies for our delicious friendship fruit salad.
We participated in the Winter Carnaval for French Canadian Culture. The French grade five classes led us through all sorts of fun winter field day activities: egg race, potato sack race, target throw, and tug of war.
Our favourite activity was making and eating La Tire (Maple Syrup Sticks).

We made lanterns to celebrate Chinese New Year., the year of the Dragon.
It is so much fun learning the meaning behind each person's name and how our parents decided on our names. We are all unique!
