Math

Wednesday, April 20th

Today we were fortunate to have, Mrs. Berg, C.A.R.C math specialist, come and spend an hour in our room.  Mrs. Berg taught us a new addition strategy, open number lines.  She also taught us a fun new addition game  called "Bump".  Thank you for sharing your time with us, Mrs. Berg, we had a great time learning from you.

Q.R math!

April 13th

This week I introduced QR math (quick response).  As part of their morning work routine students can choose to complete a QR math sheet.  Once complete, students use an iPad  and the scanner app to scan the QR code to check and mark their own work!  Very fun and engaging!

April 13th

Today in science we tested which shape was stronger, the arch or the square shape.
