We celebrated Valentine's Day today! We did math with candy conversation hearts. Students counted, sorted, graphed, compared and measured with the candy. So much fun.

Flat Stanley - Mackenzie BC
Eryk's Flat Stanley arrived back from Mackenzie, BC.
Here's an excerpt from his letter.
While Flat Eryk was here we visited the Mackenzie and District Hospital & Health Center. At the hospital, we went to see the lab and the x-ray department. While there Flat Eryk got some lab tests done and got to X-ray a patient as well as get X-rays of himself. Flat Eryk got to see the mountains that surround the town, as well as the town’s attraction of having the World’s largest Tree Crusher!
Thank you to Eryk's family for participating.
Throw Kindness Like Confetti
February is all about love, friendship and kindness.
We're celebrating by "throwing kindness like confetti". Students help themselves to compliment cards and pass them to a friend. Keep paying it forward.
Kindness Matters!
We're Engineers!
We had a lot of fun in science last week being "engineers" and building and testing cube designs for strength and stability. We tested the strength of three different "joiners". (marshmallows, puffed cereal and plasticine).
