Celebrations Around The World

 We spent two days of "travelling" around the world this week!  We learned a little bit about traditions and culture in Tunisia, Peru, Ukraine and India.

Thank you to our families who donated supplies for these super fun days.  Our Christmas Elf even got in on the fun!

In Ukraine we sampled Perogies and we made Christmas spiders.  In Peru we sampled Paneton Bread and hot chocolate and made worry dolls, in Tunisia we sampled roasted chickpeas and made stars, and in India, we sampled Chai Tea and dried mangos and coloured Rangoli designs.

What a fun day celebrating cultures from around the world.  Our classroom was Peru for the day.  Students also travelled to India, Ukraine, and Tunisia.

We started the day with all of the grade 3 classes playing together in the gym!

Last week we took a "trip" around the world!  We "visited" Peru, Ukraine, India and Tunisia.  We sampled food, learned a bit about their culture and did a craft.  What a fun day.
