Colours in rocks
We know that rocks are made up of minerals. The colours that we see in the rocks are the minerals. We had a closer look at some of the rocks in our collections to try to identify the number of colours (minerals) in the rocks.

On Thursday we had a closer look at our rock collections. We used magnifying glasses to help us identify all of the colours in our rocks. We learned that rocks are usually made up of more than one mineral. The colours that we see in the rocks are the minerals.
