Family Traditions

I have loved learning more about each family's unique traditions! Way to go 1S.

Star of the week - Makenna

It was fun to learn more about our friend, Makenna.

Star of the week - Jack

We had fun learning more about our friend, Jack!

Science experiment - Slime!

We had so much fun learning about states of matter, solids, and liquids, and our science experiment was making slime!

My daughter, Alexis, studies science at the U of A and was home for the week so she was able to come and give us a hand with our experiment!

Bird Feeders

Thank you to everyone who collected pinecones for the October homework challenge. We used some of them for science investigations, and the rest we made into bird feeders for the winter.

Star of the week - Hudson

We had fun learning more about our friend Hudson!

Remembrance Day

For Remembrance Day we wrote our thoughts about Peace with a simple sentence.  Peace is...

Some ideas that our students wrote include:

Peace is friends.

Peace is hugs.

Peace is music.

Peace is kind.

Peace is helping.

Peace is a nap.

Peace is giving.

We also made poppy art. We used watercolour to create a vibrant red colour on the coffee filters and real poppy seeds in the middle.

The display looks beautiful in our hallway.
