Bridges

A couple of weeks ago I challenged the students to a bridge building project. They were given 50 straws and some tape.  The challenge was to build a strong, sturdy bridge that would hold the mass of 50 marbles and could span 15 cm. These "engineers" all passed!! All of the bridges held 50 0r more marbles!
