Letters from Santa

Oh, what fun!  On Monday morning we walked into a nice surprise!  Our elf brought us each a letter from Santa.  The letters were in a stocking hanging from our Smartboard!

Third Degree Black Belt

Coby did it!  He's mastered all of the addition facts and is now on to mastering the multiplication facts!  Way to go!

Polar Express Day

It's a 3S tradition!  Polar Express day was on Wednesday.  We read the book in the morning and did a bunch of Polar Express themed activities and then we watched the movie in the afternoon while enjoying hot chocolate and candy canes...all in the comfort of our pajamas!  What a fun day!

We received a special delivery from the North Pole!  Christmas bells for everyone!  Luckily, we could all hear the bells!  We believe in the magic of Christmas.

Celebrations Around The World

We spent two days of "travelling" around the world this week!  We learned a little bit about traditions and culture in Tunisia, Peru, Ukraine and India.

Thank you to our families who donated supplies for these super fun days.  Our Christmas Elf even got in on the fun!

In Ukraine we sampled Perogies and we made Christmas spiders.  In Peru we sampled Paneton Bread and hot chocolate and made worry dolls, in Tunisia we sampled roasted chickpeas and made stars, and in India, we sampled Chai Tea and dried mangos and coloured Rangoli designs.

Star of the week - Manny

We had a lot of fun learning more about Manny this week!  He did a great job!  So fun.

Star of the Week - Seth

It was a lot of fun learning more about Seth this week!  Today Seth read us one of his favourite books!  Wow!  He did such a great job of reading this funny book to us!  Well done, Seth!

Christmas Sweaters and a Visit from Netty

Here we are on the last day of school before Christmas break.  It was Christmas sweater school spirit day.

Santa Pictures

The kids did a great job of their Santa oil pastel artwork.  We turned these into Christmas cards for our families.
