This week we learned about making a hypothesis. We were investigating and comparing our pumpkins. We weighed, measured and counted the ridges. Then we made a hypothesis about whether the pumpkins would sink or float! We were very surprised to find out that although our pumpkins were different shapes they weighed the same and had almost the same measurements. We were also surprised to discover that the pumpkins float!
Unfortunately, our Halloween day was filled up and we ran out of time to carve the pumpkins and check our hypothesis about the number of seeds inside. Hopefully, you were able to do these fun things at home.
