What an awesome day! We had Bricks 4 Kidz come as an introduction to our science units on Building and Testing Materials. What a kick off for these units.
First, the students worked in groups of 4-5 to construct a bridge. Then we tested the students' designs by putting weighted bags on the bridges to see if they would hold. The kids were totally engaged and excited about their learning.
Second, the students worked in groups of 2-3 to construct a catapult. Once built, students were able to test their design by shooting at a target.
What a great hands-on learning experience! Thank you to Bricks 4 Kidz.
